Hot take: naps are a performance tool.
When I was dancing professionally, napping was part of the job. ā
Train. Rehearse. Eat. Nap. Perform. ā
It wasnāt lazy. It was strategy. ā
A 20-minute nap restores focus, creativity, and patience faster than another cup of coffee. ā
Which reminds me⦠ā
I recently found out my dad used to take a 3pm nap under his desk at work. ā
Dad, sorry for outing you on the internet. ā
But honestly? You were ahead of your time. ā
At @thetrianglesessions , we talk a lot about sustainable performance. ā
Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is close your laptop⦠and your eyes. ā
So yes, Iām officially advocating for normalizing napping. ā
Are you a napper? Drop in comments.

Came out of dance retirement to be back on stage this holiday season.
The only reason it happened? My parents.
Grateful for the village that makes it possible to be a mom, a business owner, and occasionally, a dancer again. š

My biggest takeaway of 2025: if youāre in a rut, go back to what you love.
One year ago, I broke up with dance.
I thought stepping away would help me focus on the next chapter. Build the business. Move forward.
By early 2025, I was in a funk.
So in the spring, I went back to ballet. Just once a week. By summer, I was teaching master classes. By fall, an opportunity came up to perform again.
And thatās when everything shifted.
My creativity came back. My business improved. Clients (both old and new) got excited about their wellness journeys in 2025-2026.
Sometimes going back to the thing you love isnāt a distraction. Itās what fuels you to move forward.
Performing in Claraās Trip this month in Charlotte + Raleigh. DM me for ticket details + 20% discount code. š

Still performing, just on a different stage.
Last week, I led a two-hour wellness keynote + experience for Hitachi Energyās conference here in Charlotte. Standing on a mic for that long felt like its own kind of milestone.
The lessons I learned as a professional dancer: rest, recovery, body awareness, presence, served as the foundation of the workshop. Performance comes in all forms, even in the corporate world.
Grateful to work with companies through @thetrianglesessions who want to make wellness a part of their culture.

Our first Charlotte Halloween had no theme and somehow featured: Rumi, a dragon, Superman, a spider, Batman (Otto's second year running), a butterfly, and baby Yoda.
Low-effort costumes. High-effort from the grandparents with a cross-country drive. Solid turnout.
Proof that you don't need a perfect plan to have a good time.
(The festively decorated house is not ours š¤Ŗ).
