She’s performed with award-winning companies including @strutnfret , @circustricktease and Pyroptix in China, the Maldives, Korea, Japan, USA, New Zealand, EU and UK—including a performance for @mickjagger 😲 You might remember her from Werk It, Neon, Children are Stinky, Can’t Face, Kaye Hole and @smashedshow . 🪩

INTRODUCING THE CREATIVES: @penelopeshum - Dance Captain Penelope is a dancer, choreographer and arts educator who’s worked across the globe with some of the biggest names in music. She’s hosted industry events for the creative teams behind @mariahcarey , @janetjackson , @therealmaryjblige , @chrisbrownofficial , @justintimberlake , @jlo and @usher . Her performance and creative credits include working with @myaplanet9 , @nelly , @duttypaul , @louievega and @carlcoxofficial . She’s collaborated with @sony , @unicef , @vogueaustralia , @benefitcosmetics , @ausdancetheatre and @bgca_clubs . Penelope leads Adelaide-based dance and movement company The Soul Council. INTRODUCING THE CREATIVES: @lizzy_jane_baker - Dance Captain 🫡 Lizzy has the grace of a ballerina but the heart of a goofball. She fell in love with dance as a small child and has been transfixed ever since. For her, dance is about connection, belly laughs, healing heartbreak and tapping into something deep and loving within. It’s radically joyous self-celebration. Liz loves how dance looks different on every single body—everyone has a unique way to move that is precisely their own. In her 40-year dance career, highlights include choreographing the opening number for the @melbcomedyfestival (2012-2015), performing with Amitabh Bachchan at @iffmelbourne , making dreams come true through @makeawishaust , and getting thousands of people to dance like Beyoncé at her Melbourne dance school. INTRODUCING THE CREATIVES: @tatihotere - Dramaturg Tatiana is a Brazilian-born, Adelaide-based award-winning actor, writer, dramaturg & producer (talk about a slashie! 😮) Her passion for inspirational storytelling has seen her excel across stage and screen including her semi-autobiographical play ‘Skin Hunger’ which won hearts and minds (and several awards) across Australia & New Zealand. Tatiana is a mental health advocate and grief coach, producing and hosting podcast @crazygriefconversations . Her fav saying is “Creativity needs midwifery” - @brenebrown and we can attest that she’s an OUTSTANDING midwife 💖 Her Latin American roots mean dancing is in her bones; an invaluable perspective whilst making a show for Australian audiences.

Introducing the creatives behind ‘Step By Step’ @peta_sb - Director of @heydowling & Creator of @dance.a.long Peta is a renowned producer working across comedy, cabaret, theatre & music. Shows she’s produced have sold out, won awards and toured the world over the past decade. Peta started dancing at two years old and was a national champion ballroom dancer at 11. She’s dabbled in contemporary, commercial, aerobics, hip hop, pole, burlesque, street latin and more. She was a semi-finalist on ‘Strictly Dancing’ S1, but her favourite dance memories were learning Janet Jackson routines taped off Video Hits. She’s the co-creator of @smashedshow , Step By Step is Peta’s debut as lead creative. 🪩
