Wow—yesterday, @jungsik_nyc made history as the first Korean restaurant in the U.S. to receive 3 Michelin stars. What an incredible milestone for Korean cuisine!
I’ve been fortunate to photograph many of the amazing Korean fine dining restaurants in NYC, each driven by chefs and teams who are deeply passionate about sharing Korean cuisine with the world. Here are a few of my favorite photos to celebrate this moment.

Chelsea Market food runs always turn dangerous for me… this time it was @kimbaplab .
Fresh rolls made right in front of you, crispy seaweed, seasoned rice, smoky pork triangles, refreshing tuna bowls, and dipping sauces that honestly tied the whole experience together. Ended it with warm taiyaki and immediately understood why people keep coming back here.

Inspired by the Minnesota Sushi, we had to see if it would pass the kimbap test.
It’s ham, cream cheese, and a whole dill pickle for a Korea via American Midwest fever dream.

Last year, we were filmed and interviewed for the K for Kimbap documentary…and it’s finally out now on Netflix! Stream it today, then come by Kimbap Lab for the gluten-free, all-natural kimbap we’re known for.
Goodbyes are never easy, but a table filled with food and laughter has a way of softening them. Our night at @gui.nyc was a reminder that while meals come to an end, the warmth they create lingers…a celebration of the friendships we cherish and the relationships that matter most.
Earlier this year, @stuffbeneats and I went head-to-head in a high-stakes Squid Game where the loser gets slapped with kimchi, K-drama style. What better time to share it than with @squidgamenetflix Season 3 launching tomorrow?
And don’t worry: no food was wasted. That same kimchi was used to make kimchi jjigae. It was delicious, but slightly traumatic.
Big thanks to @garyhe for the Squid Game Happy Meal and @yourhospitalityattorney for letting us film at your place (sorry it took forever to clean the kimchi off the bathroom walls). 🙃
