New York is a steakhouse city — defined by decades of tradition and classics. To be included on Eater’s Best Steakhouse Map as well as North America’s Top 50 Best Steakhouse, in a city like this is something we don’t take lightly. Honoring tradition, while telling our own story through fire, and flavor —we’re grateful New York is listening. Thank you to our team, our guests, and this city that keeps pushing us forward. We look forward to welcoming more guests and to more success in 2026!❤️🥩

GUI lunch My mother requested steak 🥩 this year for Mother's Day and her favorite cut is prime rib, so it was a no brainer to head to Chef @sung.shim 's @gui.nyc ! His luscious peppercorn crusted prime rib with single malt beef au jus and horseradish sauce is my current top favorite prime rib in the city — a labor of love which takes a few days to make (check out @dannygrubs post to see the whole process!) They also serve other tasty steakhouse classics (often with an Asian twist) right in the heart of the Theater District. We got to try the new lunch sotbaps and a bar exclusive! And yes, we always celebrate Mother’s Day not on day of, so we can get exactly what we want to eat! * signature 72-hour USDA Prime Rib — koji-fermented, five-pepper crusted, slow-cooked, and finished with hot beef tallow. Unbelievably tender and flavorful. Two time Michelin starred Chef Sung pours the au just tableside! * Gui is now offering a Prime Rib Experience, available at both lunch and dinner, for 2 people or 4. Or bring more friends and order a set for 2 and other dishes to share! This experience comes with pull-apart parkerhouse brioche and honey butter, a really tasty greenmarket salad, buttery cheesy pomme puree and a creme corn. Single malt whiskey beef au jus poured tableside and a yuja horseradish sauce to dip. Excellent deal for 2 at $109 and for 4 at $199! * prime 92 steakhouse banh mi, only served at the bar on the ground floor for dinner! Pastrami-spiced shortrib, house baked baguette, pickled daikon and carrot, charred pineapple hoisin sauce, thai basil and cilantro and a pho jus dip. French meets Vietnamese! * some closeup foodpourn * enter from 8th Ave in the theater district and ascend to a calm oasis above! Early * new lunch sotbap! @mari.nyc ganjang salmon al-bap with soy marinated cured salmon over stainless steel pot pressure-cooked tender rice, trout roe, wasabi tobiko and bibim sauce. A very nice dish for spring! * you get dried gim seaweed sheets to make little handrolls! * the sotbap set comes with some banchan and a beef radish soup * marinated prime galbi short rib with galbi sauce sotbap set * also comes with set banchan (caption cont'd)

A NEW YORK CLASSIC, WITH SEOUL. A REASON TO GATHER AT GUI The GUI Prime Rib Experience begins with our signature 72-hour USDA Prime Rib — koji-fermented, five-pepper crusted, slow-cooked, and finished with hot beef tallow. Served family style with Parker House brioche, honey butter, Greenmarket salad, pomme puree, cream corn with miso-cheddar mornay, yuza horseradish cream, and single malt au jus. Classic steakhouse tradition, reimagined through the depth of Korean technique. A New York classic, with Seoul. For Two $109 | For Four $199 Reservations available through the link in bio. #PrimeRibNYC #NYCSteakhouse #ManhattanSteakhouse #TimesSquareRestaurant #TheaterDistrictDining NYCFoodie

Times Square is getting closer and closer to becoming a food neighborhood you want to eat in, and @gui.nyc is a big reason for that! From their Korean steakhouse dinner, to fine dining concept @hwaro.nyc hidden within, to now affordable yet quality lunch sets, this restaurant is a destination in and of itself. The menu is large, but I’d focus on their high-value Sotbaps (aka Korean rice bowls), which have the same care & quality Chef @sung.shim is known for. Pick your main, and they each come with premium Korean gyeonggi rice cooked to order in a stainless steel pot, alongside seasonal banchan, toasted gim, dipping sauce, and your choice of mu-guk or miso soup. All sets range from $19-29.

I love a steakhouse as much as the next person, but sometimes I want to change it up just a little bit. From the group behind Michelin starred restaurants Kochi and Mari, GUI has all the quintessential steakhouse classics with a uniquely Korean flair. Incredible quality, exciting offerings, exceptional cocktails, and amazing service— dining here was such a treat (and definitely worth the splurge!) @gui.nyc What we Ordered: Gui Brioche Cesar Salad Mari Spicy Tuna Confit Oysters Bone-In 16oz Dry Aged Ribeye Branzino Barley Risotto Eggplant Katsu (the side and entree portions) Potato Rosti (not pictured) Black and White Mousse Baked Alaska

Why Banh Mi? Because the best things are deceptively simple. House-made bread, crisp and airy. Cured short rib pastrami, rich and savory. Pho jus for dipping—because one layer of flavor isn’t enough. A classic, reimagined. Possibly the best Banh Mi in Times Square. 😉🌟
