Last week, from 15 to 17 September in Cairo, “Jordan Stitch Cairo” built on the success of the inaugural “Jordan Stitch: Empowering Women in Fashion” workshop held in Amman in 2024, where 20 talented Jordanian women designers celebrated their heritage through contemporary creations. In partnership with
@euinjordan , last year’s edition inspired pride and collaboration and this year, we’ve taken that vision across borders to Egypt.
Over three days, our 3 participants
@shorouqmazrawi @diana.abuneel and
@sada_by_sanaa delved into Cairo’s fashion ecosystem, touring fabric mills, denim plants, and sustainable production hubs. From digital printing and dyeing facilities to ready-made garment and sampling studios, they gained hands-on insights into every stage of textile manufacturing.
Masterclasses led by Clair Seffeen and Ingy Ismail at
@maison69store explored brand strategy, PR tactics, and logistics, equipping the designers with the tools to grow their brands across regional markets.
The programme culminated in a panel discussion featuring
@carodoss @aminak_egypt @omleyla and
@abdallah.sabry_ .
Insights on sustainable design, digital transformation, and collaborative networks sparked vibrant conversation.
This intensive exchange deepened cross-cultural connections, fostered knowledge sharing, and highlighted challenges and opportunities within Egypt’s vibrant fashion landscape. A big thank you to
@clairseffeen @ingyism and
@shamekhbluwi for their vision and guidance, and congratulations to Shorouq, Diana, and Sanaa for your curiosity, dedication, and creativity!
