To everyone else, it was just a mess. It was buried under layers of Siwan dust, the fabric was torn, and it looked like its best days were decades behind it. My friends actually laughed…they couldn’t understand why I was even touching it, let alone buying it.
But I didn’t see the damage. I saw the weight of the silk and the incredible handiwork of the Siwa locals.
I took it home, gave it the life it deserved, and styled it my way. The same people who questioned me were the ones asking where they could find one once they saw the final look.
Proof that it’s never about what you buy, but the vision you have for it. 🫶🏼
I have my professional work, but because of the way I’ve built my career, I have the luxury of keeping this hat on (especially that it sparks joy in me and I believe in how essential it is) even if carrying both worlds can sometimes be a lot to handle but In my situation it’s a choice at the end of the day.
And here I am, I’ve decided to say it loudly. I am a housewife, and I say that with immense pride.
For me, this isn’t just about chores; it’s a ritual of care. I love the quiet discipline of tidying, the patience of gardening, and the way an organized space completely resets my energy. When I’m tending to my home, I’m not just ‘cleaning’, I’m creating a sanctuary where my soul can actually breathe.
In a world obsessed with the ‘next big thing’ out there, I find deep purpose in the beautiful work right here. My home is my project, my craft, and my peace.
So, to every woman who finds joy in her home: your work isn’t small. It is the foundation of everything. Stand in your truth, and never let the world make you feel like your role is anything less than essential.
The ultimate social experiment: One weekend, same dress, two different black tie weddings, two different crowds. I just swapped in a bold red lip. Turns out, a little red paint is the perfect camouflage for a dress repeat 😂🙌🏽♥️ #WeddingSeason
Letting the fabric find its own path. There’s a certain vulnerability in draping 🫶🏼 it’s about listening to the grain, the weight, and the way it settles against the body. My latest creation, born from the hands rather than the sketchpad
Special thanks 🫶🏼

9 years of styling. 9 years of showing up online. Today, it all culminated on the TEDx stage. There is no better feeling than finally articulating the “why” behind everything I’ve been preaching for nearly a decade. My heart is full, and my vision has never been clearer. Stay tuned.
Thank you @tedx_official and @auc_egypt for such an amazing opportunity!
