A @gvsu alumna, she earned her degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the School of Communications. Shayna is the founder of @jointhebuildersclub , a social club for women launching brands and businesses, fostering connection, growth, and community. She currently serves as the Community Engagement Manager at the @grartmuseum , where she leads programs, partnerships, and collaborations that bring artists, entrepreneurs, and organizations together to create engaging, memorable experiences. ~ ~ ~ Our theme for May is CREATE. They turn it into something bigger. This community has a way of reminding you why you started in the first place. Why creating matters. Why connection matters even more. Everyone is welcome. The Connect + Create Nature Club is hosted through Creative Mornings Grand Rapids. We meet the last Thursday of every month. While the events are free to attend, tickets are required and limited. 🌳 Our creativity requires connection. Connection to self, to other and to the world around us. The Connect + Create Nature club is a space designed to help you get back in touch with your creative center by immersing yourself in nature. We will explore a different modality each month in combination with a slow, intentional hike meant to clear the clutter in your brain and help you settle back into your soul. Being a creative can often feel lonely and disconnected. Our meet ups will offer a chance to connect with others in an authentic and meaningful way while soaking in the healing powers of the natural world. 🌞 APRIL: This month we will explore our connection to self through a variety of journal prompts. We will begin with a 15 minute meet and greet near the parking lot as everyone arrives. At 5:30 we will move into the park for a short grounding practice that will invite you to slow down, check back in with yourself and set the stage for a meaningful evening together. We will enjoy a 2-3 mile hike around the park after which we will find a comfortable spot to sit down with our journals. There will be 3-4 prompts offered, however you are welcome to use this time to write, draw, or contemplate in whatever way feels best for you. There will be 10 minutes or so at the end to engage in conversation around the prompts for anyone who wishes to connect further. 🎟️: Comment CREATIVE for the event page link and to RSVP!
