✨ A full-circle moment ✨ My younger self would be so proud right now. What once felt like a dream is now my reality, I am honored to share that I’ve stepped into the role of Manager of Community Engagement at the @grartmuseum This role is more than a title to me. It’s the opportunity to design and create spaces where people can connect, experience art in new ways, and feel a sense of belonging. I get to lead, curate, and envision programs and events that bring communities together, and that feels so special. As I step into this new chapter, I carry deep gratitude for the path that brought me here, and the people who believe in me along the way. To me, community engagement is about building bridges, fostering collaboration, sparking dialogue, and dreaming together about what’s possible. 🤝 I’d love to connect with artists, art & culture enthusiasts, creatives, educators, organizations, and leaders who are passionate about cultivating meaningful experiences here in Grand Rapids and beyond. On Mother’s Day, Sevaya made the decision to be baptized. 💕😭 This was a decision she came to completely on her own. We didn’t force her. We didn’t ask her to. This is her public declaration that Jesus is Lord, and as her mother, there’s nothing more beautiful to witness. I am so proud to be the mother of Isaiah & Sevaya. Happy Mother’s Day 🤍

A @gvsu alumna, she earned her degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the School of Communications. Shayna is the founder of @jointhebuildersclub , a social club for women launching brands and businesses, fostering connection, growth, and community. She currently serves as the Community Engagement Manager at the @grartmuseum , where she leads programs, partnerships, and collaborations that bring artists, entrepreneurs, and organizations together to create engaging, memorable experiences. ~ ~ ~ Our theme for May is CREATE. If God can do it for me, He can do it for you. With my life I hope that I make my Father in Heaven proud. I want to represent the kingdom of God in the earth. I want others to encounter my story and see the possibility in their own lives. God can free you from the weight of shame, fear, anxiety, brokenness AND depression. I am a witness of what Jesus can do when we surrender. When we say yes to what we are called to do in the earth. It won’t be easy but it will make sense. I am deeply humbled by the works of His hands in my life. It is only by the grace of God that I am standing here today. Grateful for today’s keynote and the conversation that took place in the room. Yes, we discussed Marketing and how to convert content but our conversation was not at all surface level. I love the nitty gritty conversation of producing quality content because the reality is at the root, many of us simply fear visibility or leading with our own story. Every time I pick up a microphone, something in me shifts. #fyp #marketing #faith
