Please welcome Jason Brieva for the 4th and last general meeting of the semester! The meeting will be this Thursday 4/16 during u-hour at 12:00pm.
Jason was born and raised in Southern California. He received his Bachelors in Kinesiology at CSUF in 2016. Then he took a 5 year gap year during which he worked as a full time aide while taking pre-reqs to apply for PT school. He then continued his education at Western University of Health Sciences in Oregon to be the Inaugural Cohort and get his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He was able to work in settings in a small rural community in Oregon to a big outpatient clinic in California. He loves working in orthopedics , sport injuries, and also geriatrics!

Dr. Mai is the Director of the Motor Development Clinic, Teaching Credential Coordinator, and an Associate Professor in the Department of KHP. Her work focuses on movement analysis in individuals with disabilities, the impact of service-learning on both students and clients, and the use of exergaming and gamification to support rehabilitation and physical activity. She teaches KIN 2460 Foundations of Adapted Physical Activity, KIN 3130 Teaching Aquatics, and graduate courses in APA/APE.
Beyond her professional roles, Dr. Mai is a wife and mom to three Japino homeschoolers. Originally from Kobe, Japan, she enjoys exploring different types of noodles, especially ramen and pho, along with fishing, camping, and playing Minecraft with her family.
