Common Threads is here !
Our first-ever PA Fibershed member zine brings together real stories from the people shaping a more local, transparent, and regenerative fiber system across Pennsylvania.
From farmers to makers to designers, this is what our fiber system really looks like.
We created Common Threads as a celebration of the people and processes behind our textiles, because too often, the origins of our materials and the hands that shape them go unseen. This zine brings those stories to light, honoring the care, craft, and connection at every stage, and inviting us to reconnect more deeply with the land, the process, and each other.

This dynamic group will come together to discuss the many industrial uses of flax fiber, scaling production in the mid-Atlantic, and flax as an alternative to toxic building materials and textiles. There will be an array of samples from linseed oil to linen for participants to handle and learn about.
This is an exciting peek into the progress of the fiber flax industry in our region and future materials. We welcome interior designers, architects, textile industry professionals, artists, building contractors, sustainable developers, and community members passionate about real change towards a sustainable future.
