This year feels like it flew by in the literal blink of an eye! Another rollercoaster of a year in the life of entrepreneurs as we balance TWO different markets on two continents! Most definitely the most challenging step yet, and the perfect way to celebrate 7 years of making waves and leaving a mark in the design world! As is our customary tradition, we wanted to share five fun facts that you should know about the MAREDI Design team: 1. Did you know that MAREDI Design has offices in Chicago, Illinois and in the Loire Valley in France (ask us more about this…we have a lot to share!)? 2. Did you know that MAREDI Design is building out a design lab on the banks of the Loire River in France? Opening in 2026…follow along right here for everything about #LoireDesignLab ! 3. Did you know that Marc and Dijana are vegetarian? 4. Did you know that Marc spent his university years as a student in Montreal? 5. Did you know that Dijana spent a year abroad studying in Aix-en-Provence (where she fell in love with everything French)? #MAREDIdesign #entrepreneurs #sustainabledesign

Life in Anjou, in the Loire Valley, is one of our greatest sources of inspiration. If you have followed us for a while, you know how much this region (where we split our time) means to us. There is a certain softness to life in this part of France, in the light, in the landscapes, in the stone and in the pace of everyday living. We call it the slow life, but it’s actually known as “la douceur angevine,” alluding to the quiet tranquility that is a signature of this region. From village streets to local materials to breathtaking landscapes, this part of France constantly reminds us that the most meaningful spaces are the ones rooted in place. This is a glimpse of Anjou through our eyes, and through the lens of our design studio. Follow along for more French life, architecture, and design inspiration. #Anjou #LoireValley #LifeInFrance #FrenchDesign #InteriorInspiration

A compact bathroom, under 50 square feet, transformed into a serene sanctuary through healthy materials and a highly considered material palette. The brief was simple but precise: maximize the space, preserve visual calm, and create a room that feels open, restorative, and beautifully refined. This project is a reminder that small spaces can still make a powerful statement when every detail is considered. #bathroomdesign #bathroomrenovation #smallbathroom #smallspacedesign #healthymaterials

This is the kind of before-and-after we never get tired of. Behind these walls: tuffeau stone restoration, opened-up spaces, new sightlines, and the slow work of bringing a historic Loire Valley home back to life. Every project has a turning point and this chapter is one of them. Swipe through to see the transformation in progress, then head to Substack for the full Chapter 10 story. And be honest: are you a “preserve the patina” person or a “cover it all up” person? #LoireDesignLab #FrenchRenovation #AvantApres #InteriorTransformation #HistoricInteriors

Celebrating a meaningful press moment! We’re honored to be featured in Livingetc’s latest piece, “How to Buy Furniture That’s Truly Timeless, and Avoid the ‘Fast Interiors’ Trap,” with Marc sharing his perspective on what it really means to design with longevity in mind. A big thank you to @laurennicoley6 for spotlighting a topic we care deeply about. At MAREDI Design, avoiding “fast interiors” isn’t a trend, it’s a core principle. We believe in creating spaces that are intentional, enduring, and grounded in quality materials and thoughtful sourcing. This article captures a key part of our manifesto: designing beyond the moment, and investing in pieces that evolve with you over time. If you’re rethinking how you furnish your home, this is a conversation worth having. In our latest episode of @thegreenroutepodcast , one topic that we dive into is what’s often hidden behind the walls: insulation and its impact on our health. Our guest, architect Taleen Josefsson @the_holistic_architect , breaks down the realities of toxic materials, from common insulation choices to the long-term effects on indoor air quality, and what better alternatives look like in practice. Because what we don’t see in our homes can still affect how we feel every day. Episode 24 is out now — listen to the full conversation for a deeper look. #HealthyHomes #NonToxicLiving #SustainableDesign #MaterialHealth #GreenBuilding

Earth Day is the perfect moment to share a milestone for MAREDI Design: we’ve officially added a new certification in biophilic design through the Living Future Institute. Biophilic design is much more than bringing a plant indoors. It is about supporting the human need to connect with nature through the way we design spaces. That can mean natural light, organic materials, nature-inspired patterns, tactile textures, living elements, and forms that echo the landscape around us. In other words, biophilic design is not a trend. It is a design approach rooted in wellbeing, connection, and a deeper relationship to the natural world. #BiophilicDesign #SustainableInteriorDesign #WellnessDesign #NatureInspiredDesign #HealthyMaterials
