🧋 @doskoistylefoodtruck will be parked outside for lunch, offering boba and hot dogs!
Thank you to @sweater.face for being our poster artist this year and to @hannahkleeee for typography and design! We are gearing up for Comic Arts LA 2025 on December 13 & 14! Our full exhibitor list is now up on our website. Please join the mailing list for more news, including the announcement of volunteer sign-ups and CALA-adjacent events around town. And of course, follow us on IG to stay on top of announcements and info about the show. Stay tuned for more news! 💙🌞
Thank you for coming to Comic Arts LA 2025!
Shoutout to our amazing, hard-working volunteers for making this event possible, as always, and to the exhibitors for bringing their A-game and new books and incredible comics.
And, of course, thank you to all of you who came to CALA. This event wouldn’t exist without all of you! 🌴💙 See you next year!!
If you’ve always wanted to make comics but have been unsure how to start, or if you’d like to be able to share the joy of making comics with your family, @mirkdrop and @kaneicaruslynch are leading an all ages comics workshop for all skill levels in the morning on Sunday!
@chrisandersoncomics@doomdazed@mrglaubitz and @floatingworldcomics will be in conversation on Saturday about the power of a self-publishing collective that also handles promotion, distribution, and PR without the editorial structure of a traditional publishing company. Tune in at 12 PM for a model that might provide a better path for both freedom and career longevity in comics.

For our tote bag collectors and anyone who forgets to bring a bag, the tote bags for 2025 were designed by @wangstagram and they’re made sturdy to hold your enormous haul… just sayin’. 📚
Saturday morning in the programming room there will be a quiet place to draw that comes with expert advice on the Risograph design process thanks to @punchkisspress (who will also be offering more CALA-adjacent Riso classes throughout this coming week at their studio). Everything you create here you can get printed at the Heavy Manners risograph machine just outside the programming room door! 🪄 Great for Christmas gifts, souvenirs, trading material, impromptu business cards, and giving away to your favorite artists at the show.
As always, bring your old graphic novels and manga in good condition to CALA for the Book Drive! Books will go to LAUSD schools and @heavymannerslibrary 📖📚
If you are curious about how shows like CALA and LA Zine Fest and RAZ Fest are organized behind the scenes or want to create your own event for the community, join us for a panel discussion on Sunday December 14th at noon!
