“Cour Marly VIII” is a limited edition of 11x17” risographs printed by @colourcodeprint in Toronto for my solo show “Monument Machine” which closed yesterday. I want to thank everyone who attended over the last week. It’s been a huge opportunity and learning experience for me to present at the beautiful @remotegallery space. As a new member of @akinprojects , I am excited to meet more artists in the community.
With this limited edition, I’ve continued a pattern where I select one work from each solo show and have a risograph version printed, providing collectors with an entry level price point. I chose “Cour Marly VIII" following the input of celebrated artist @satyacipta who acquired a larger gumoil version of this image shortly after it was printed at @devfto printmaking institute in Ubud, Indonesia. That larger gumoil version is also pictured here as seen on display in the recent exhibition.
Seeing new and familiar faces, having the opportunity to share this work with so many of you over the last week has been a deeply gratifying experience. These works have been on a journey that began eight years ago and have now been presented in a public setting. Thank you very much to both those who attended and all the artists and artisans who helped bring this project to life along the way🙏🙏
