CMTA received a first-place @ASHRAE_society International Technology Award for @dcpublicschools Benjamin Banneker High School, designed in collaboration with architect @PerkinsEastman . Topping the Education – New category, this #NetZero high school facility provides a modern and efficient learning environment for over 800 students, the majority of whom are from large minority populations across the city. We are proud to contribute to D.C.’s first zero energy and #ZeroCarbon high school.

At its April school board meeting, @bardstowncityschools celebrated $2.4 million in federal #CleanEnergy tax credits associated with the #geothermal system at the Fifth Street campus.
Throughout the project, CMTA worked alongside the district to plan for and pursue these credits, helping ensure the geothermal investment translated into long‑term financial value. Those dollars are already committed to future construction projects, allowing Bardstown City Schools to continue investing in its facilities and #LearningEnvironments.

CMTA’s Jacob Evans, Konrad Kutter, and Lawson Fishback recently presented to Engineering and Political Science MBA students at the University of South Carolina (@uofsc ) on the future of #EnergyInfrastructure. This new Pool & Sauna Haus at @giantsridge in Biwabik, MN offers a year-round space that is pushing the envelope on #EnergyEfficiency for an otherwise energy-intensive facility. Pool #dehumidification units reclaim heat from the exhaust air, which can be re-injected into the heating water system for pool heating or used in the VRF condenser water loop for heating of occupied space. Compliance with MN's B3 SB2030 program offered a unique challenge for #EnergyModeling and using every ounce of energy we could out of the #MEP systems.
