Study mode ➡️ rooftop reset
Hub Bloomington is designed around the full rhythm of student life. Steps from Indiana University Bloomington, Hub Bloomington turns off-campus housing into a connected student experience, where focus, movement, restoration, and social life all have a place.
Designed in partnership with @corespaces , this nine-story community development draws from Hoosier spirit, Indiana limestone, historic athletic culture, and the everyday rhythm of campus life. Study niches and library-inspired lounges create space to lock in. Rooftop retreats, a resort-style pool deck, and activated social zones make room to reset and connect.
Tap into a new era of student living.

Research doesn’t happen in silos. So why should the building?
Vanderbilt University’s new Stevenson Center 6 is designed to bring science, engineering, and discovery closer together.
Building on a collaboration with Vanderbilt University that began in 2018 through strategic campus planning, we’re leading the design of a 200,000+ SF interdisciplinary research facility located between Central Campus and the Historic Core.
Groundbreaking is expected in summer 2026, with completion planned for 2028.
DLR Group is providing architecture, engineering, interiors, laboratory planning, campus planning, and sustainability services alongside @hopkinsarchitects , @thorntontomasetti , Centric Architecture, AEI Inc., @hawkinspartners , @bargecivil , @jedunnconstruction , and @casellainteriors .
New conference. New expectations. New home base.
After joining the Big 12 Conference for the 2023-2024 season, the @universityofhouston set its sights on the next era of Cougar football.
The new UH Memorial Hermann Football Operations Center is built to support that leap. From hydrotherapy and sports medicine to team dining, locker rooms, meeting spaces, and student-athlete lounges, every space supports how athletes prepare, recover, and build connection.

How do you bring a 1927 landmark back to life for today’s audiences?
For #PreservationMonth, we’re spotlighting @carolinatheatreclt , a historic venue in uptown Charlotte, NC, that went dormant for a time before being reimagined as a cultural cornerstone.
In collaboration with @fftcarolinas , our design restores the theater’s historic presence while introducing a new lobby addition conceived as a public piazza. Extending into the street, the addition frames the restored façade as a sculptural centerpiece and creates a stronger connection between the city and the experiences inside.
From civic conventions to live entertainment, the renewed Carolina Theatre shows how preservation can create new ways for a community to gather, connect, and look ahead.

Timber. Transit. Technology. T3 Sterling Road in Toronto's Lower Junction was designed around all three: mass timber construction, a Transit Score of 100, and WiredScore Gold certification across 415,000 square feet of creative office space. PBD served as the interior amenities and office designer, shaping the entry lobby, fitness center, rooftop terraces, tenant collaboration areas, and ground-floor retail into spaces that feel as considered as the building itself. Drawing on the Junction Triangle's graffiti art heritage and manufacturing history, PBD commissioned local artists including Trevor Wheatley, Dahae Song, Elise Goodhoofd, and PERU143 to bring murals, sculptures, and banners into the elevator lobbies, rooftop, and building exterior. Shipping containers were reimagined as tenant common areas. Flexible doors create space for both focused work and communal gathering. This Arbor Day, it's a good reminder that timber isn't just a building material. In the right hands, it's a philosophy.
