More frames from Homunculus! We put this one-room-set through its paces to create multiple different looks. Moving walls, live lighting changes, spinning cameras, black voids--the accumulation of it all is unlike anything I've seen on screen before. It was such a joy for @owenkibby to throw ideas out there that got us way outside of our comfort zone, knowing we could create gold if we just found the right creative solution.
HOMUNCULUS! I'm so proud of this movie. When director @owenkibby asked me to help bring this wild movie to life, I knew it would be something special. It is a VISION from start to finish; an insanely creative ride that was only made possible by a supremely talented and passionate cast and crew. Every day on set was a total joy; a reminder of why we all have dedicated our lives to making movies. I'm so grateful to have been a part of this, and hope it's only the beginning.

The past few days were spent at one of the world's premier observatories: Calar Alto in southern Spain. We learned how astronomers find other planets deep in the galaxy, hiding in the darkness around their host stars. The scientists we filmed with shared their passion for discovering other worlds, and helped shine even more perspective on what it could mean to discover life out there one day.
For decades, humans have listened to the universe, hoping to find signs of another intelligent civilization...we've heard nothing. SPEAKING FOR EARTH, an upcoming feature documentary, follows the world's leading expert of interstellar communication as he attempts a new form of exploration: broadcasting our existence by sending messages into the cosmos. Can we? Should we?

Excited and honored for the SXSW premiere of @othersidedoc ! This film is such a bold, intimate documentation of new ways to think about end of life. The patience, respect, and empathy shown by directors Carter Oakley and @wisdomandsage resulted in such an emotionally rich and meaningful film. Helping bring this film to life has been a huge highlight ✨
Cambodia. @cfranjola and @irieopus following the footsteps of their father, a journalist in SE Asia covering both the Vietnam War and the lead up to genocide in Cambodia. Halfway through our journey we are diving deep into the history of Cambodia. Here at the ancient temples of Angkor Wat, Claire and Alex spread their father's ashes during a beautiful sunrise, nearly 10 years to the day of his passing
Our lil movie won an EMMY! 🤠 I feel extraordinarily lucky to tell true stories for a living, and even luckier when those stories concern living artists and immigrant communities. With LAYQA for @pbs , I got to do both. My heart is full 💜

I've been working on something new over the past year. Getting a project off the ground that feels more "me" than ever--A film that captures the imagination while exploring massive ideas, and yet stays deeply personal with the people on screen.
These early phases of big documentaries require a lot of investment of time, effort and money with no guarantees. I'm very grateful to @owenkibby@redins.film@amybrownsu16 and @johnzarcone for helping actualize this and make it beautiful.
