They covered everything from creating awesome playlists and setting up your USB, to mixing tracks, mastering DJ etiquette, and even putting together a DJ showcase for a fun celebration at @villagestaproom ! We also want to express our heartfelt thanks to @sistermidnightldn for hosting us at the radio station for our Vinyl DJ workshop. A special thank you to the guest DJs @avibecalledb and @djflight for sharing their incredible insights and tips with our mentees on all things DJ, including effects, exposure and record labels. Monday Mood: GRATEFUL!🙌🙏 Our amazing musicians, Cleo and Dwayne received this card from the participants on our recent project at HMP High Down and it’s such a great reminder of why we do the work we do at Finding Rhythms. We truly believe that music is a catalyst to empower people to improve their lives - and the comments written inside this card were testament to that. The men praised the musicians and the programme for helping the to step out of their comfort zones, saying how much the programme meant to them. The feedback we’ve received in our post-programme evaluation only amplifies these comments. A huge thanks to the brilliant @cleosavva and @wonky_logic for all your hard work on this project. We are so grateful for you!🎶

some (mostly musical) happenings from 2026 so far. the social media void is somewhere I frequent (both willingly and unwillingly) It feels like I'm supposed to share moments, to share fragments of what is going on, yet it can feel far removed from the magic sometimes. I can't help but want to keep some of those magical times tucked safely in our collective memories of those sweet moments. What a beautiful evening ❤️ Thanks to the amazing musicians who travelled from far and wide to join us: @_mrslunaa_ @i.am.afiya & @teel.dah + @cleosavva Red Door discovered @nu.sessions at their monthly jam in @villagestaproom which have a unique energy. They have a massive focus on creating an ego-free space to foster a community of musicians who feel free and inspired to play and create together. This showcase of artists within the collective followed by their usual jam was very special and @nu.sessions will be back to showcase other artists and jam!
