🌐 Honored to be presenting at Scenarios Forum 2025 in Leeds, UK hosted by the Priestly Center for Climate Futures at the University of Leeds. Some of the main topics covered at the conference are:  - The future of scenarios in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES)  - Future population health and health systems under the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs)  - Regional SSPs in practice: What we have learned and what lies ahead?  I will be presenting on “Serious Board Games on Climate Change as a Tool for Modeling Scenarios”. In short, I created the game Climate Cooldown as a means for us to play out scenarios based on our in-game collective actions and decisions. We get the chance to see what it takes to turn things around through a fun, social and challenging educational game. Lastly, I want to thank those of you that helped donate or spread the word about the GoFundMe for the Davis Data Driven Change (D3C) student research team. Had a wonderful time last Friday at the West Los Angeles College's Climate Action Palooza! Met so many amazing people who are dedicated to climate justice 💚 The many panelists covered key parts of what we need to do to take climate action in many sectors including education, economy, AI, food sovereignty and more! I’m excited to both be a panelist as well as facilitate a workshop at #ClimatePalooza2024 on October 25 at West LA College where I'll be introducing attendees to my game studio, @cleanearthfuture and our flagship game, #ClimateCooldown. I’ll be sharing the vision behind the company and provide a live demonstration of how the game works through an in-person tutorial. Participants will have the chance to play one or two rounds of the cooperative game designed to save the planet and the workshop will also include a review of additional learning resources and curriculum, such as a worksheet on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and an online learning module featuring academic and career pathways. We’ll explore transdisciplinary content for art, language arts, and social studies, along with a sneak peek at a new prototype for a children’s version of the game. Such a wonderful time at the Eaton Canyon Nature Center's Day in Nature event!! 🌳 These kids are incredibly smart! Together we were able to cooperate and win the game in hard mode, not once, but twice!! It was also awesome witnessing kids who already knew how to play the game teach other kids how to play. What a wonderful experience and awesome way to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of the release of Climate Cooldown. 🌟💫🌈✨️🌱🌳 Thank you @eatoncanyonnaturalarea for having me and @itshanabonanza for the help!!! 🙏🌱💚
