This Thursday four Circle Bird Poets will be joining @chris.packets to open for a very exciting @_lau_ro_ show in the Meeting House at Sussex University.
@tom.oleander , @joanieomara , @oscarjamesgodfrey and @beanqueenk8 will be reading poetry alongside a 30 minute performance of improvised ambient piano by @chris.packets
We will be touching on themes of home, displacement, and a longing for connection with nature. This is to celebrate Lau's beautiful album Cabana which will be performed with the accompaniment of @ussymphonyorchestra and @finnrees for the main event.

My first ever gig playing all my own music! (+1 Nai Palm cover)
Managed to get loads of beautiful musicians involved, and all while raising £180 for Palestine with @2008crash.major.record.label !!! What a great night last Monday was. I'm so grateful to everyone who came, and even moreso, everyone in the band, who only had a week to rehearse before the gig - oopsie.

These last few years living in Brighton have changed the way I approach music from back in the London days playing with Nihilism (and does anyone remember Jarhead?). I think this very varied set represents something that should feel familiar if you've known me for a while, but also shows my evolution as a musician and how I've been influenced by the people around me down here. Struggling from never feeling good enough, but trying to show the process anyway, thanks to support from good friends xx

Different ways to 'sit-start' mount a chair from the floor:
1. No legs on chair
2. One leg on chair (up & down)
3. Both legs on chair (down & up)
The hardest part about each of these was to control my center of mass to not allow the chair to tip... As seen in 4.

Been transcribing the legendary guitar solo by @mjlettieri from Snarky Puppy's Jambone! Super rusty still but getting there... Not used to playing this fast AT ALL
