Black Cap - an EP that me and my dear friend Jamie ( @between_theair ) wrote and recorded many moons ago, is out today.
The EP gets its name from the location that it was recorded in, a special place atop the rolling hills of the South Downs. We came equipped with Jamie’s trusty handheld tape recorder and two acoustic guitars. It is quiet music, a soundtrack to a bourgeoning friendship, a cool pond for you to dip your ears - accompanied by wind, trees and insects.
Please enjoy it if you’d like to🏔️
My first solo project, ‘Penmachno’ is out now, living in the world. It was such a beautiful process to create this music, and it feels just as nice letting it go. Please enjoy it 🐏x
Thank you to all the collaborators, friends and musicians who helped me out:
Violin - @minamae_

This is the forest next to where I stayed in Penmachno. It was very quiet. It took me a while to adapt to the deep silence that this place held. For a while I was sure that I could hear voices, whisperings. I came here to practice my flute. I started my practice by letting out one long loud note, as if to summon something. The sound travelled across the valley and I heard some children excitedly scream in response. I liked the idea that I might have been a part of some magical fairytale their parents told them about these woods. My musical offerings will be released soon - just before the summer solstice sun rises. I hope you enjoy them.
My first EP 'Penmachno', a collection of songs, compositions and soundscapes will be out this coming saturday, on the 21st of June.
In January I went to a small village in North Wales to record this music. It was very snowy and I was nested in a little carpenters loft. This music is the result of that special time in that special place.
Here’s a song me and mina will be playing on Thursday at @waxingpink . We’ll be starting off the wonderful lineup at 16:00 - come and av a little listen
