We did it! (well they did it!) Congratulations to @wakeuptom @mattjabrooks @paulonguitar and @graemeblevins - for the rest of your lives you can say you are number one songwriters; and players on one of the great records of our times! Congratulations to @raye who is blazing a trail in her artistry, her treatment of writers, and in giving hope to independent artists who thought their dream had been crushed. You will overcome! So proud that our @karouselmusic and @wixenmusicuk family have built a community together to be a home for writers like this, and overjoyed to get to work with you in my role at @sesac . And I’m just as proud, every day of my life in various guises to also work with greats like @rubyduffmusic @jamiedoe_themagiclantern @mattdeightonofficial @patdamsmyth @samantha_whates @charliewoodofficial @rorysimmonsmusic @mradambeattie @ana_silvera @ajad90125 and Romy Deighton, Gary Carpenter. Great artists and writers don’t always get this spotlight, but their struggle, joy and truth is just as real. A time comes. Congrats also @livthompsonbass ! There’s a lot of love shimmering down my cheeks today. We’re pleased to welcome Chris Sheehan to the SESAC family. A longtime partner of SESAC and a music industry veteran with 25 years of experience, Chris has worked closely with us for years through his role as co-founder of Karousel Music. Chris will continue building on the meaningful legacy of John Sweeney, who dedicated 20 years to supporting creators across the UK before his passing in June 2025. We’re grateful for the foundation John built and look forward to continuing that work in the UK with Chris.

One of the worst photos you’ll see of the best live band in Europe. @thelotterywinners have been my favourite live band since we saw them on our little @karouselmusic show 10 years ago. They played what is still my favourite show of all time at @reeperbahn_festival in 2018 , and yesterday gave Komedia the one in one out masterclass in how to put on a show. So good, that I’m leaving the festival early to go and see them again in London tonight 🙌 another perk of working with the dream team at @sesac is that we get to work with the unstoppable @thomrylance and crew! If they don’t win a Brit award in the next five years, I will grow my hair back and auction it for charity!

We’re all growing into @sesac nicely! Epic weekend at @liverpoolsoundcity and so good to be back to the clan!

Can't wait to get to my - somehow - first ever @liverpoolsoundcity , heading up there for @SESAC John loved it for years and years, and I'm so excited to be driving up there tomorrow. I have a panel on Friday Morning at the Club House at 9:50am talking about the importance of having some people your world, as an artist or songwriter, who remain constant throughout your career as your other relationships evolve, with people like labels, PR, pluggers, producers, co writers and so on. Then we have our showcase at the Shipping Forecast Between 2pm and 6pm on Saturday, where we have a little surprise to honour dear John's legacy. See you there?
