TIME TO DYE!! with 1 day to go till the #wickedmovie premier I totalled up all the votes from insta, tik tok and facebook and went to @spotlightstores for the dye! Now after consulting my dye guru @curatedwardrobe.au we needed to match sure that the dye I used was for synthetic fabric as this dress is 1000% polyester and needed the hardcore dye to make it take. Turning my laundry into my own witches pot I definitely broke all the dye rules using my tongs and the dye definitely took - maybe a little too well and left the colour very dark and well the look we are going for needs to be lighter and brighter on the colour wheel! So a quick wash and bleach bath did the trick and now I’m just waiting for it to dry on the line with my grand total for this coming to $50 for a movie premier look - I’m pretty happy with that! Me & my swish swish skirt and stompy boots said what we said, You can 1000% be on trend, true to your personal style, comfortable &&&&&& sustainable when you head to an op shop, market or consignment store, Yep that’s a @annaquanlabel skirt that had tags still on I scored for $13 from @goodsammy.shops that retails for $550 & a set of Oxford boots new in box for $389 for a sqillionth of the price from @salvosstores (Fun fact - I was actually due to repurchase a pair of black boots after mine were on their last legs after owning them for 3 years and no they were terrrible quality the old ones…. But we made them work!) While there are many thank yous to happen here’s just a few to start, our volunteers from founders, to students, to those we pulled and rallied ON the day, Nick & Tony WE LOVE YOU. the volunteers who sorted, bumped in, collected donations, sorted hangers, were cashiers, bag drop, security, accounts, finance,and more. For a 100% volunteer run event we sure put on a show. A thank you to those who supported us via PR and media from @stmperth , @9newsperth , @leesteeleperth , @revamp.vintage , the team from @smtafe_fashion who are championing fashion at the place it begins and this year had over 300 votes on the winning creation and so many more but to our president Althea there are no words to explain and express how #bindaring is only becoming more and more because of you. But at the end the biggest thank you goes out to everyone who came down yesterday between 9am (earlier too hehe) till 3pm . You are the magic that keeps us going. well well well when a little stop by save the children Mosman park turns into one of those stops to remember Now of course I love popping by this store and honestly I have been neglecting it since moving because while it’s small in size the staff are the sweeeetest women and they get fantastic stock because once I spotted the @zimmermann I had a gut feeling my preloved guardian angels were watching out for me beucase between the @henne_ @viktoriaandwoods @_aje_ @ullajohnson and my personal favourite @sir__ I knew I was in the right place at the right time And while a lot of the suing and fits we aren’t 100% for me being about to walk away with a $350 @henne_ dress with the tags still on and a @camillaandmarc I didn’t even realise was $850 RPPi think I was ONTO it So while I know you’ll be saving this one for next time you’ll have to let me know what you think!
