I went looking for a photo of me wearing one of my very first sewing projects…and somehow found the actual skirt instead! 🥹
Stevie humoured me by trying it on, which sent me straight down memory lane thinking about learning to sew with my mum when I was not much older than she is now.

Making an heirloom birthday banner! I’ve been seeing these birthday banners everywhere on pinterest lately, so I had to make one for my daughter’s birthday, I seriously just love handmade decorations! The key to this project? My amazing @Fiskars Pinking Shears to cut the edges and prevent fraying, and I also added a bold red fabric as the base for a fun pop of colour… Such a simple and quick project, but it turned out sooooo cute and she absolutely loves it. I know that we’ll use this every year now, it’s definitely one of my favourite little birthday makes!! I layered the Matilda Jacquard Quilt, with its beautiful embroidered like white floral pattern, over a silver reversible blanket featuring a textured ribbed side and a cozy sherpa finish. I must also mention that these bamboo sheets are divine with a touch of luxe.
