After 8 wonderful years, countless stories and countless on air fumbles, today was my final day of work at Channel 10. 💙💙💙 Incredibly grateful for the most supportive bosses @pamela.magill and @lachy_reid , and to have worked with so many talented, passionate people over the years, (including @krustycarlos10 here - who pulls out every single light, every single time, just to make everyone look their best.) Special thanks to Cyclone Narelle for keep on me SO busy, it didn’t hit me until halfway through my speech that I was leaving. 😭🌀💙

9am Friday update. Cyclone Narelle - still a category 4 but starting to weaken, likely to make landfall in Coral Bay around midday as a category 3. Wind gust in Learmonth - 200km/h at 6:30am This is the second highest gust for the station, after 267kmh record set by Cyclone Vance in 1999. @bureauofmeteorology latest advice. “Narelle has started to weaken, but is expected to remain a category 4 system for a few more hours. It is within the vicinity of Exmouth, is moving to the south and is passing close to the North West Cape. Severe impacts are expected from the western Pilbara coast to the northern Gascoyne coast this morning, and then extending south to Carnarvon and Denham during today. On Saturday, Narelle is expected to be weakening as it moves quickly to the south southeast, with impacts extending to the Central West and then further inland and south across the South West Land Division. During Saturday the strongest winds are expected to be on the eastern side of the system.” 🎥 @belwilkinson in Karratha @jessica_lingard_ @10perth
