UPDATED!! Our Movement Party is back—different location, same magic. Join us Saturday, May 23 | 12 PM–10 PM for an all‑ages, daytime dance party. We’re bringing together an incredible lineup - @toribious_monk @ferias.mtl @djmickeyperez @problematicblackhottie @chaialeh @cyepie @ameera.img 📍 Location: @333midland_annex_gallery - 333 Midland, Highland Park, MI 48203. There is a grassy lawn- Feel free to bring blankets, lawn chairs, babies, whatever makes you comfy. 🍓food by @monster.detroit + @melway.burgers 🎟️ Tickets are available on our website and RA. We’re beyond excited to collaborate with so many amazing folks to make this gathering possible again, and we can’t wait to dance with you soon. Thank you to @kellysbarhamtramck for their sponsorship 💜 This year, we’re using a sliding‑scale ticket model to help keep the event accessible to as many people as possible. ($30 - $50) The party is a fundraiser for FOXGLOVE, supporting ongoing expenses and future programming. + 20% of proceeds will be donated to a local nonprofit (announcement coming soon!) focused on expanding access to mental health services for survivors of sexual assault / domestic violence. While there are many ways to work toward equity, we believe this is one meaningful step toward healing harm that has already occurred.

Step into a softened, slowed, and reimagined space where we’ll gather to honor the quiet emergence from hibernation, the subtle stretch toward light. The evening opens with NY–based DJ and composer, @chaialeh , weaving archival samples into live ambient textures drifting in and out like breath using vinyl SP404, cassettes, and voice. At the heart of the experience, @sunnylovehealing will lead a one-hour guided somatic workshop layered on top of Chaia’s sounds. The movement here is unhurried, intentional and unfurling. You’ll be invited to expand, to take up space, to gently brush away the cobwebs of stillness. This is not about performance, but about sensation: rediscovering your edges and softness. As the workshop closes, the energy will shift as second DJ, @bizio_music , carries us forward, gradually lifting the room into more dynamic motion with slow, pulsing techno. Come as you are. Lie down, stretch out, move gently, or dance fully. This is a space for listening, for feeling, for reawakening. Doors at 7pm Chaia at 7pm Somatic workshop at 8pm Bizio at 9pm Separate entry for Cousin at 10pm Investment: $25 W/ Cousin ticket: $15 Chaia is a composer blending Yiddish archival recordings with techno and ambient club music. Raised in the Klezmer tradition, she transforms archival material into contemporary rave contexts, with mixes on The Lot Radio and dublab and performances at clubs including Public Records, Standard Time, and Lobe Studio. Sunny Love is a globally trained healing artist, community builder, and intuitive space-holder who has led retreats and workshops around the world. Rooted in somatic yoga, Body-Mind Centering, developmental movement, ancestral dance, and Jewish teachings like kedoshim—“love thy neighbor as thyself”—her practice is both grounded and gently radiant. For over a decade, Nico Bisio (Bizio) has been a driving force on PNW dance floors, known for blending rich melodies, psychedelic textures, and playful sonic detail over deep house rhythms. His sets are immersive journeys inward and outward, guided by a belief in dance as a communal space for peace, healing, and shared euphoria. Flyer by @jasonburnstings

May 16th at @podlasieclub ⋆˚꩜。 𝙎𝙤 𝘼𝙢𝙗𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩 is bringing you another slow build up to your evening activities. We have a very special guest Chaia (@chaialeh ) hailing from NYC. It’s a pleasure to have her make a stop with us for her US tour and accompanied by local selectors Sanjana Elina (@sanjanaelina )and Roland Santana (@iii.____.iii ), get ready for some cosmically charged live/dj sets. 𐂯 save the date Sat. May 16th 6:00 - 8:30pm - free entry see you there . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ . ݁₊ @chaialeh Chaia is a composer combining Yiddish archival practice and electronic club music. She weaves archival Yiddish audio with techno and ambient frameworks, creating hybrid folk-electronic compositions that situate ancestral sound within global and liberatory rave culture. In live performance, she brings together accordion, vocals, and samples, inviting audiences to engage with ritual and the echoes of ancestral memory. Chaia’s mixes, featured on The Lot Radio, dublab, Res Radio, showcase curated libraries of samples from Yiddish archives mixed into ambient techno. Her recent tours have included shows at Standard Time, Lobe Studio (4DSOUND), 2220 Arts + Archives, and Public Records, among others. Chaia has been profiled by Grammy.com, NPR’s Art of the Story, Annabel Ross, and others. She has collaborated with Russell Elevado, Dan Tombs, Sidney Mills and the Klezmatics. @sanjanaelina Chicago based artist Sanjana Elina spins textured synths and deep rhythms, building sets that pull you into the moment. Born deaf in one ear, she relies on instinct and feeling to connect with music beyond just what you hear. Her performances are all about feeling the sound as much as listening to it. @iii.____.iii Audio and visual artist Roland Santana submerges you into a deep world of abstractions. Whether it’s with a brush, sound, or code he approaches his work in loose painterly ways. Fluxing between ambient, IDM and flutters of bass, he creates a lush scenery - one that’s intriguing and calming for those with an inquiring mind.

Pittsburgh! Come out to @aptekapgh April 19 for a night of Yiddish archival samples and electronics (and Polish food and wine and spirits!). I’ll be presenting archival material on the theme of “Dortn”, “the beyond.” This term is used in Yiddish folksong to describe a distant love “across the water,” and it speaks to sounds and memories from another time. But, the term has also been used by Yiddish activists as a radical embrace of diasporism, representing Yiddishkeit beyond the nation state. The following evening, I’ll be teaching a workshop for @ratzonpgh (@mr_roboto_project at 6pm) exploring this radical Yiddishkeit, teaching anti-Zionist songs from the early 20th century.
