On June 6th, Tarka Project takes over the iconic Spacial Sound Clinic at Reforesters Laboratory @reforesters.io for an unforgettable evening of 4 live performances by @a.r.basu , @dynomanmusic , @mireiaclua and @radhikasamson . This is an evening for deep listening, reflection, and getting lost in the meditative effects of music. Expect both live electronic and instrumental performances to take you away. 🌶️ DYNOMAN AT TARKA DAWAT🌶️ Tarka co-founder, @dynomanmusic will be performing a Haal set intended to transport us all to another dimension ✨ About Dynoman: Living in Brooklyn by way of Karachi, Pakistan, Dynoman is widely credited as an instrumental figure in the formation and development of the Karachi underground and Pakistan’s electronic music scene. He has been producing electronic music under the Dynoman moniker since 2009, and co-founded Forever South, Pakistan’s first internationally recognized digital label, in 2012.Over the years, his sound has evolved alongside his lived experience, remaining rhythm-forward, percussion-driven, and rooted in movement.After relocating to New York in 2017, Dynoman founded Rare Frequency Transmissions, which he continues to co-run. He is a frequent presence in the Brooklyn underground and self-releases much of his work through Dynoman Music, showcasing a wide breadth of styles and approaches.When stepping into the booth, his sets are shaped by the moment rather than pre-planning, often unfolding without a fixed trajectory as he responds to the energy of the space and the room.In 2023, Dynoman co-founded Tarka, a project celebrating diaspora through artistic practice. In recent years, his work has increasingly explored rhythm, repetition, and shared states through sound, with live performances and recordings reflecting a deep engagement with percussion-led, future-facing approaches grounded in South Asian lineage. About Camila: Camila Celin is a guitarist and composer known for her expressive, genre-defying approach to the instrument. Born in Bogotá and based in New York City, she has spent decades exploring music across cultures, shaping a personal language that blends original compositions, improvisation, and raga-inspired melodic development. Though her technique carries echoes of classical training, Celin’s music unfolds freely beyond stylistic boundaries, creating immersive solo performances that are both intimate and expansive. 🌶️ BINT AT TARKA DAWAT🌶️ We are elated to have @binnttt , an artist we have deeply admired for some time now, joining the lineup this Saturday 🥹✨ About BINT: BINT is an interdisciplinary artist and musician working across sound, installation, and visual forms — applying contemporary methods to the traditional multicultural technologies of her ancestries (Pakistani, Egyptian, American). As a musician and sound artist, BINT turns to a palette of dissonance, samples, long-form drones, and noise to access and alter emotional states in herself and her listeners — best known for her unusual approach to processed harmonium and multilingual vocals through cassette tape, analog synthesis, and pedals. Since 2023, her work has focused on site-specific commissions and immersive audiovisual experiences. 🌷CHAIA AT TARKA DAWAT🌷 We welcome dear friend and most talented musician @chaialeh to join Tarka Dawat this Saturday. She will be conducting her usual magic, performing a very special live set, don’t miss it ✨✨ About Chaia: Chaia is a composer combining Yiddish archival practice and electronic club music. She weaves archival Yiddish audio with techno and ambient frameworks, creating hybrid folk-electronic compositions that situate ancestral sound within global and liberatory rave culture. In live performance, she brings together accordion, vocals, and samples, inviting audiences to engage with ritual and the echoes of ancestral memory. Chaia was raised in the klezmer tradition and mentored by Yiddish music pioneers Hankus Netsky, Jeff Warschauer, and Basya Schechter. She now works closely with Yiddish archives to identify, highlight, and catalog Yiddish material for her electronic work. These include the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research, The Yiddish Book Center, Yiddish Song of the Week, and the personal archives of Netsky and the Hoffman Family. Chaia’s work has been supported by New York State’s Council for the Arts, the Brooklyn Arts Council, The Goethe Institute, and the Center for Traditional Music and Dance. Chaia’s mixes, featured on The Lot Radio, dublab, Res Radio, and Great Circles (among others), showcase curated libraries of samples from Yiddish archives mixed into ambient techno. Her recent tours have included shows at Standard Time, Lobe Studio (4DSOUND), and Public Records, among others. Chaia has been profiled by Grammy.com, NPR’s Art of the Story, Annabel Ross, and others. She has collaborated with Russell Elevado, Dan Tombs, Sidney Mills and the Klezmatics.
