I’ve graduated in May of 2024 from
@ringlingcollegefilm , moving straight to Los Angeles with my now husband and the most supportive partner I could have asked for,
@beauagrawal . I was lucky enough to get into the Academy Gold Rising Program, part of
@theacademy ’s early talent development and diversity arm.
By the end of 2025, I was a working producer, collaborating with wonderful creatives at
@wearewhimsy , making films with the incredibly talented
@owendubeck , and even heading to Brazil for 2 months to produce a narrative feature in my home state. What a full circle and fulfilling moment in my life!
And now, a new phase of my journey starts in 2026 with my first full-time position, learning from the experience and brilliance of
@klecool who I’m so lucky to call my mentor and boss.
This program comes from the dreams of one of the most inspirational people I have ever met.
@jennifersofiohall is someone you want to have in your corner because if you are lucky enough to work alongside her, she cares. She cares deeply about you. And even if she argues it’s part of her job, I choose to believe it’s because she is an incredibly kind person. Jenn changed the course of my life, and of the life of everyone who has been part of Industry Standard, now in its third season.
And speaking of those cool kids, I got the most incredible cohort of individuals that I now call my friends, my community. People that inspire me daily and that I love. This program gave me an incredible and unbreakable bond with them, and I’m planning to take all of you with me as I move through life. Jenn is good at curating people, and her mission of creating a higher industry standard in documentary post-production is safe with these folks.
I’m here because I’ve been blessed by an incredible family that I would not trade for any money, success, or status in this world. In fact, any that I may have gotten, I owe it all to them.
