hey everyone, I put out another new song today. it’s called “who am I kidding” and it’s a sweet little piano ditty that regrettably does not feature a keytar, which may prove to be a mistake. time will tell.
it’s all about feeling stuck and like you can’t change and it’s really one of my favorites. it’s short and simple and unfortunately has made me cry at least once. swipe for some lyrics and go give it a whirl! love u

hey look, a new caleb song! my new single “Molly in Room 105” is out today!
I’m not sure why, but I’ve always been kind of a sucker for songs that tell a whole story. this one’s all about creativity, change, and growing up— told through the eyes of an amateur painter named Molly. I’m not exactly sure where the idea came from, but I’m really pleased with the way it turned out: sweeping and dramatic, but intimate and sweet all at the same time. I hope it makes you feel something.

hey everyone
so I try to write a song or a scrap of a song or a stupid lyric or SOMETHING every single day, but everything always ends up being used in another project or sung by someone else or (most often) chucked into the scrap heap that is my notes app.
no more! here I am, beginning to share the stuff I love most with all of you.
this first song is about being 25 and moving fast and feeling a million things in a day. I wrote it on piano but I always knew it was a guitar song. in the verses, the last word from each line is the first word of the next line which I think is called anadiplosis but I’m not positive. It’s imperfect and honest and I think it rocks.

I wrote more music!
I’ve spent the last few months working on a half-hour-concert-suite-film-thing called “Our Place.” It’s a bunch of music for strings & piano & electronics all about home and the people we share it with- sentimental stuff.

this was a super fun project- I got to work with lots of wonderful & creative friends, we filmed and edited the whole thing and even designed a little set to turn the stage into a living room. I think it came out really nice and weird and beautiful and I am psyched to share it.
