Roughly 1K rounds through the steel frame lower, and I have to say Iāve been enjoying it. Iāve mainly been using it for training people and during indoor sessions, but all in all itās been holding up wellāand sheās a shooter.
Itās refreshing getting back to the basics with a striker-fired gun sometimes, because letās face it: when you spend time behind hammer-fired guns, you realize they tend to give you a bit more forgiveness. Refining those rough edges on a striker-fired pistol is always a great exercise, especially when itās the platform I carry every day.
Letās talk about it, boys.
āWE WANNA SEE THE HITS!ā
Cool⦠hereās the hits.
Crazy part? I slapped this dot on a few days ago, held two shots at 7 yards, and sent it. Didnāt even bother touching adjustments at distance because Iāve been busy doing literally everything else. But the second I started holding myself accountable to a small spot in the A-zone at 50 feet, I already knew what was up. Shots grouping right? Cool. Dot needs a few clicks. Nothing crazy. Diagnose. Adjust. Execute.
Brought it back out after class, ran the shoot-calling exercise again, and that grouping was SMACK in the middle exactly where it belonged.
Now before the keyboard commandos start foaming at the mouth ā no, Iām not showing those hits. Gotta let the internet have something to cry about. Youāre welcome, by the way.
And thatās the funny part about all this⦠dudes act like not having your gear perfectly dialed immediately is some kind of crime. Meanwhile, the real flex is being experienced enough to instantly recognize somethingās off, make the correction, and keep it moving without melting down about it.
Some of yāall want perfection.
I want accountability and performance.
Same same⦠but different.

So a couple days ago, I got asked to show a few dudes that configuration and how it shot, so I threw it together and shot it at the indoor range after a training session with a client.
And Iām not gonna lie⦠I liked it so much that I swapped it back to that configuration yesterday, and I havenāt taken it off since. The steel frame has officially become my new carry gun.
The funny part is, I stopped by my brother-in-lawās house for a bit yesterday, and of course the conversation naturally shifted toward firearms. I pulled out my concealed carry, unloaded it, showed clear, and handed it over to him. The second it left my hands and hit his, he goes, āHoly crap, this thingās heavy.ā š¤£š¤£š¤£
Iāve got to say Iām Absolutely loving it.
