@thedonshoots is tough on our builds. He has been the proverbial proving ground for many of our M&P parts and projects.
We actually cannot equip his setups with aluminum magwells for this reason; an estimated 5k worth of reloads on this stainless steel @carvercustom Heavy Open magwell resulted in what you see here.
We had to replace the OEM polymer backstrap insert on his M&P metal frame with a @calculatedkinetics steel insert. He sheared the retention pin for the magwell after the plastic deformed. The stainless steel appears to slow down wear significantly.
Aluminum and brass magwells last a fraction of the time for him.
