Our 3D printed, flow through, .22lr can was quieter (at the ear) than a SilencerCo Sparrow and the Dead Air Mask lol. Over 200rds through it and it shows no signs of damage. I don’t remember what filament was used, but it’s obviously good stuff.😂
I’ve got all my pistols ported.
Yeah yeah yeah… I’ve heard the internet gun trolls already:
“It’s a 9mm, you don’t need to port those.”
Cool.
Here’s the thing — my pistols are set up for self-defense, not slow fire distance shooting. If something helps control recoil, keeps the dot flatter, and lets me get faster, more accurate follow-up shots, I’m interested.
Is porting a replacement for fundamentals? Absolutely not.
Fundamentals will always be king with any weapon system. Grip, trigger control, presentation — that’s the real work.
But if a modification enhances the platform you already train with, why wouldn’t you take advantage of it?
This setup works for me and the way I train. That’s what matters.

Dialing in the Glock 43X MOS 🔧🔥
Sighting in the 43X MOS with a Front 5 barrel port and Holosun optic.
The porting noticeably reduces muzzle flip and keeps me on target for faster, cleaner follow-up shots.
Any time you modify your weapon—train with it. Get reps. Get comfortable. Confirm your zero.
What works for me may not work for you. Find what works for YOU.
For me? Porting beats a comp.
No added length.
No holster changes.

The malfunction was not planned, just fix and keep going. Ended up being a dead round. Those can happen at any time and that’s the importance of training for what to do when it does. @stayreadyaz@glockinc Glock 45MOS with my Holosun optic. @fourgedgroup for the amazing slide cut and barrel porting. I don’t do the “shoot 3 rounds and look over each shoulder” I think that will develop poor habits and a routine. I would rather perform the drill or shooting sequence then bring the pistol close and centerline to address what’s happening. From there determine if the world is safe.
