As a GRAMMY-winning engineer and producer, he’s also collaborated with artists including Bill Frisell and Chick Corea.

We asked talented Max artists @_a__v__e__n__i__r_ , @littlescale , and h1data (Bluesky/X) to explore Max’s embedded browser object, jweb — along with Max 9’s new jweb~ object, which lets you patch audio directly from the browser into Max. The results were inventive, surprising, and as always, completely their own. 💭👇

New gizmo unlocked!
In 1965, Iannis Xenakis wrote *Nomos Alpha* for solo cello using the 24 rotations of a cube as part of its compositional structure.
I took that premise maybe too literally;
This is XenaKube: a bluetooth @gancube treated as a performance interface for a virtual cello. Every twist of the cube sends data into Max/MSP and Node.js, where the puzzle state, cube rotations, and solving process are translated into real-time cello behavior.
So the act of solving the cube is also the act of playing the piece.
The cube is not just a controller here, it is the score, the instrument, and the thing being performed on.
Live premiere tomorrow, 7pm, at Fishman Studio in the Granoff Center, alongside two new works by @illycheng and @cormorantaray .
