In this hands-on workshop, we will demystify the RayTK toolkit by connecting it to the fundamentals of GLSL and raymarching. You will learn how rays traverse a scene, how Signed Distance Functions (SDFs) define shapes, and how shaders calculate color and light in real-time. Within TouchDesigner, you will learn how RayTK translates complex Signed Distance Functions (SDFs) into visual geometry, moving from mesh-based rendering to the fluid, infinite world of raymarching. State of Texas Garage A | 1401 San Jacinto Sunday, April 19th | 2:00 PM - 5:45 PM The installation spans all five levels of a downtown Austin parking garage, transforming the structure into a vertical ecosystem of sound using a spatialized 32-channel audio system. Twenty-eight stationary speakers and four mobile speakers are positioned throughout the space while visitors freely wander the floors, encountering compositions inspired by the layered acoustic environment of an imagined rainforest canopy.
