As amazing as this weekend was personally, it was really about the people who made this dream a reality.
I was fortunate enough to be at the IRONMAN World Championships as the Sponsored Athlete Manager for
@precisionfandh — which resulted in
@solveig_lovseth winning the World Championship — and also as the coach of the overall amateur winner,
@samsskold .
The odds of something like that happening had me buying lottery tickets, pinching myself Sunday morning to make sure I hadn’t dreamt it, and realizing by Monday night (somewhere between airports) that it was all very real.
Looking back, I’m just a lucky guy surrounded by incredible people — people I believe in, and people who believe in what we’re building at PF&H. And then there’s Sam, who’s believed in me as a coach for far longer than she probably should have!
I’m grateful to
@andyblow and
@jonnytye1 for bringing me on board back in 2018, and to
@scottie_de for the chance encounter that started my real triathlon journey and led to us founding
@kiscoaching . None of us could’ve imagined we’d be here — living out this wild dream together.
We’re not here because of any one person’s work. We’re here because of the team that’s been built. Without the entire PF&H crew — from product and sports science to customer service and logistics — I’d be in a much different spot trying to attract world-class athletes to our roster.
Because of this team, we’ve built something special. Just like Solveig’s win wasn’t a solo effort — it was the product of a decade of hard work, belief, and the people around her who helped her deliver a world-class performance when it mattered most.
What a weekend. What a team. What a privilege.
