PRIME TIME Squat: 235/245/250 Bench: 172.5/180x/185x Deadlift: 240/260/277.5x Total: 682.5 @ 82 🥉Male overall GL Obviously not how I would have liked the day to pan out, and losing 12.5kg off my bench press due to an easy to make error is frustrating, but that’s powerlifting. Sometimes you can have a great prep, but mistakes happen on the day of course, and in this case, I made one of ass shaking, bust it down, let me see what you’re mama made ya proportions (Butt lift on bench). Still had a lot of fun, and I’m fairly happy with how things went when considering the last time I did a three life comp was February 2025! TLDR: Squat was great, bench was like a cheating wife, deadlift was me biting off more than I could chew cos I had to. As always grateful to God for the privilege of being healthy enough and having the opportunity to compete. Grateful to my coach @jacobsofianos for the impeccable programming and sage advice and support. Grateful to @coach.vinh for the expert handling, and for backing me in. Grateful to all my mates and family who came and supported me - made the night 100x more fun! And grateful to have @tsurnami as an ever worthy competitor, congrats on the 300kg pull and the big 700 sir, can’t wait for next time 🫡 On good days and bad days, may we all remember the words of Theodore Roosevelt, that whether we win or lose, let us never be among those “cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat” See you next time ladies and gents 🎥 @thirds.co @buffdumpling

Aiming to go 9/9 isn’t playing it safe, it’s playing to win Yes… if all attempts were sandbagged, then sure. That’s playing it safe However, when it comes to positioning ourselves in the best position possible to achieve our desired outcomes… The aim is to play our cards right, nail all 9 attempts, which makes it easier to build the biggest total, and stay in the fight. And yes, this may entail taking calculated risks. However, we’re generally putting in a number with a good probability of success. After all, we have a limited number of attempts per lift, so we have to make each one count! Therefore, game day isn’t about taking the biggest lift possible It’s about taking the right lifts based on the scoreboard, how you’re moving & feeling, and the refereeing standards 🎥 @buffdumpling @repeat.cr
