Photography @pork_lamb Last p4mance nite was my warmest dream coming true. angel dust @rebelliuschaperone , Song @songsong_1010 , Chaney @chaney_dms , Zhuyang @zhuyangleiu and Nitesh @nitesh__tailor99 made space @staffordshirest a gathering where queer/ diasporic/ globalmajority/immigrating experiences were worked into the act of touching, transforming, raving, operating, and eating. Held in my stomach is Nitesh’s food, and in my heart the warmth of the room where we made home. * ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ Swords and Kisses, a four day programme of events around an exhibition of works by artists and gamers. The show centres around queer+trans trans visions of a non-linear time-space and experiences of diasporas. The exhibition space becomes a gathering space to create and inhabit other worlds. Queer and global majority artists build portals, props and false promises… * ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ Swords and Kisses is supported using public funding by National Lottery and Arts Council England. Thank you so much for the great show! To be seen art project wanted to make a simple curating experiment. To promote the show, we tied 10 posters on different light poles on high street kensington. We also sent out flyers around the tube station trying to attract more people. As it was said in the profile, we want to host exhibitions which can be seen by more and variety of people, not just artists gathering around for each other’s show opening. Thank you the three curators: yiwen, Xinghe and Shunshun. And thank you all the artists who attended the show. And we did got some people who don’t really work in art industry but got attracted by the posters on the street and our flyers.
