Day 7, last day, of #scotlandia #temperaterainforest journey 🌞 First, @ivankashdan and I would like to thank @sladeschool for supporting our journey. Without the Jeanne Szego #travel #scholarship this journey to some of the most beautiful parts of Scotland wouldn't be possible. Also, thanks to @walkhighlands and @woodlandtrust for their extremely useful resources and guides - accessing the landscape has never been easier! ♡ So… today we are in #lochdoon with the family doing the #nessglen walk. This walk has always been my top 5. It's the kind of walk where you can do it over and over again and each time you'll experience something different. This time, everything shimmers in the mild weather of #earlyspring We are so blessed with the golden glow of the sun… pouring through the bare branches, casting dramatic shadows in the valley, wherever the river runs… At about 1/6 into our walk, I decided to do a full #fieldrecording of it (1) I have about 1.5 hour of recording in total, capturing the chatter of birds and human, footsteps, beech leaves rustling, rapids, waterfall, water running at different speeds… I can't wait to listen, process, and revisit the walk with my ears again👂 Here comes the money log again! (6) If you scroll down a bit further down my feed, you'd find the exact same tree. Always fascinated by its presence… I also wonder if the mushroom is edible…any #mycologist here? (9) To finally end the journal of this voyage, here's half a perfectly split rock, with possibly an unpolished #agate at the center, found in #maybole. Looks just like a #centuryegg yum (10) (*˘︶˘*).｡.:*♡ until next time x

@ivankashdan and I have been braiding our soft plastic waste into one long rope since our time at Slade. This plastic snake measures 50+ meters and has been coiling up in our flat until recently where we found it a proper home at @sainsburys recycling... we certainly hope that this will be processed responsibly and will not end up in the incinerator 🔥

May the year of 2026 be fruitful, plentiful, and full of inspo ✨️ 1. Moulded and poured the wax candle on my left hand with the raphia pod on my right hand 2. Beautiful book written by @kobayashi_tomohiro the owner of a quaint shop packed full of beautiful tree nuts and pods from around the world... so much care and love in that lil place... and I'm still hoping the day will arrive where the translated version of this book in English becomes available (ಥ﹏ಥ) 3. 木荷 pod of schima tree. Found this during a walk at home a long long time ago... glad it's finally found the right home with a scorched wine cork and a peony pod from @wendybibby_art beautiful garden 4. Love this find in Lanzarote -- moringa seed pods. Look at the sheen ✨️ bonus point goes to the fact that every single part of the tree is edible 5. In the bag is a bunch of moringa seeds from the pods. The 2 wooden baubles are tinted using black bean tea. Nice tasty tannins ☕️... more!
