Last weekend was a milestone. After years of hardship surrounding my girlfriends knee injury, I can confidently say Kat is back in action.
We rode over 130 self supported miles around Lake Tahoe almost entirely on dirt. A beautiful weekend to ride, a beautiful weekend to celebrate our love and friendship for the past 7 years. Love you smooch, so happy to be adventuring with you again. @kitkatbodat
Earlier this month, renowned ultra endurance athlete and cyclist Rebecca Rusch (@rebeccarusch ) ground her way through Northwest Arkansas to be the first person to cycle the entirety of the Arkansas High Country Route. After 8 days of rain, mud, bugs, heat, vicious dogs, and amazing southern hospitality, Rebecca showed those gravel roads who’s boss and completed the newly minted 1,041 mile route with such a blistering pace. The one time it rained in Tahoe this year, @kitkatbodat and I got out to shoot some images for her @outdoorgearlab review of the Best Women’s Rain Jackets. She has spent countless hours standing in the shower wearing different jackets, testing breathability by cruising steep climbs on her mountain bike while wearing a jacket in 80 degree weather, and making sure the jackets mobility is up to par by climbing rock slabs in the rain.
