Jack in the Green this weekend. Also my birthday. I secretly imagine everyones dressed up for me because i'm a child and it delights me. It starts 4:30am on the hill with the giddy uneven dancing of May Day dawn, also International Workers Day. Then dancing with many different sides from all over round town on the Saturday then deliriously moving onto the ceilidh at the end of the day. Sunday is a small quiet gathering in the local park with some actual plant mischief. And Monday we march and dance and for some reason - slay the jack - the spirit of rebellion and growth 😗
I started morris dancing not to geek out on rehashed traditions but to wield a stick and shout and encourage others to do the same. More and more people, more and more sticks, many fucked off workers. Who knows what then?

She is one of the founders of HASHTA - a tenants association for people struggling to get repairs sorted by their housing association. It's finally here! Linton Gardens has a community garden and compost hub! We will be filling the planters, choosing and sowing seeds, drinking, dancing, souping, caking, and equinoxing to celebrate. There will also be a scent based grounding workshop and worm class. And just some lovely fricking people. Come and fun
