Unfortunately, they are going ahead with huge cuts to the health element of universal credit (bastards that they are) so please claim as soon as you can and tell every disabled person and disability group you know! Please share in your networks: There are only 4 days left to apply for the Universal Credit Health Element (often referred to as LCWRA) and qualify for the higher rate. This applies to new claimants only. If you already receive the Health Element, your payments will not be affected. If you have a disability or health condition that limits your ability to work, you must apply by 5 April 2026 if you are not already receiving this support. From 6 April, new claimants will receive only half of the current rate. This could mean a loss of around £2,550 per year. The National Audit Office and the Public Accounts Committee have extended the deadline to submit evidence to their Access To Work inquiry. HOWEVER it’s still less than 2 days away! The New deadline is 23:59 on the 26th February (Thursday). It’s VITAL we give them as much evidence into this awful scheme as possible. Well this is amazing!! We are honoured to have been shortlisted for Best Campaign at the Sense Awards. Thousands of disabled people are facing the same devastating delays, changes and cuts, while the DWP still insists nothing has changed. We have over 4000 members who are all experiencing a mixture of delays, cuts, and even no response whatsoever from the @dwpgovuk , all while the government say their main priority is to get more disabled people in work. We’ve been a lot less active recently + tbh we completely burnt ourselves out in May-July. TTP was only ever meant to be a pop-up awareness campaign but it became so much more and we’re so thankful for that. But it also became more than 4-7 people could handle. As the gov has been on summer recess, we’re taking some time to regroup + think about where we go next. We’re still not sure tbh but the fight isn’t over.
