It’s finally here!
Jóhann Jóhannsson: Piano Works by Alice Sara Ott is out today. I had the great honor of producing, recording, and mixing this record in my studio in Reykjavík.
Alice’s playing on this record is absolutely stunning, capturing the delicate nuances and raw emotion of these compositions perfectly.
It was a deeply moving experience to spend time in this music, and I am so profoundly grateful to have had the privilege of getting to know Jóhann and working with him during his lifetime.

Cornucopia is finally coming to cinemas worldwide on May 7!
It’s hard to put into words what it means to have been part of this project. Cornucopia isn’t just a concert—it’s a world, a universe, a dream built from sound, light, projections, dance and deep intention. Being on that stage, inside that sonic sculpture, and serving as musical director alongside Björk and an extraordinary team of artists, musicians, designers, and technicians, was one of the most profound creative experiences of my life.
To see it now become a film, captured so beautifully, feels surreal. I’m endlessly grateful to Björk for her vision, for inviting me into it, and for challenging all of us to explore new dimensions of performance, technology, and emotion.
If you get the chance, go see it in a cinema. It was made to be felt as much as seen and heard.
