📍 Port Adelaide, South Australia A structure that once moved grain now moves people. Hart’s Mill - weathered brick, rusted steel, and softened edges, stands as a monument to time. There’s a stillness here, but also a rhythm in the geometry, the play of light across the façade, and the quiet persistence of form. I’m drawn to buildings like this. Not just for their history, but for how they hold onto memory - etched in mortar, framed by sky, and always in dialogue with their surroundings. ——— #Hartsmill #PortAdelaide #ArchitecturalPhotography #SouthAustralia #IndustrialHeritage #BuiltForm #TexturesInTime #DesignThroughLight #UrbanSilhouettes #AustralianArchitecture #quietplaces Let me know if you’d like a version for a story, print, or exhibition wall label.

Yitpi Yartapuultiku - Soul of the South A place of deep connection, storytelling, and strength. This Aboriginal cultural centre stands as a powerful tribute to Kaurna knowledge, art, and community. Every detail is rooted in tradition, inviting us to walk gently, listen deeply, and honour Country. Findon Technical College is the first of five technical colleges to be built on South Australian soil—an exciting and forward-thinking initiative by the government. I’ve had the privilege of being involved from the very beginning of the project, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to see it come to life. One of the most fulfilling aspects has been documenting how the space is being used and watching it evolve through its various stages.

PROJECT PROFILE @bash_image The Marion Cultural Centre isn’t just a community hub—it’s a landmark of postmodern architecture that quite literally spells out its identity. Designed by @armarchitecture and @phillipspilkingtonarchitects , the building integrates the word MARION into its very structure and surrounding landscape. From the bold ‘MAR’ on the façade to the sculptural ‘I’ and stone-formed ‘O’ in the garden, every element contributes to its story. Inside, natural light floods the library and gallery spaces, inviting visitors to explore, learn, and connect. A true celebration of design, culture, and community. Coming from an architectural background, Bash has always been drawn to buildings, captivated by their materials, connections, and the way they interact with natural light and shadow. Photographing it was a personal project for him, one that gave him goosebumps. ‘There was a time when its future was uncertain, but thanks to community support, it’s now heritage-listed and preserved for future generations. These images were captured just before closing time, on our way home from the skatepark. My tripod’s always in the car, and this was one of those moments I was glad it was. My son came along and had a great time exploring the space on his scooter while I focused on capturing the geometry, the light, and the details that make this building such a standout.’ Photography: Bashitha Dissanayaka #Photography #architecture #landscape #projectprofile #ImageMakersAssociaitionAustralia
