#This weekend the incredible Nigerian modernism exhibition @tate closed thankfully I was able to catch a little bit of it on the state trip as Mr President @officialasiwajubat and the First Lady came for a private viewing. Nigerian visual art is world class and this exhibition was seminal and one for the ages. This was a classic example of elevating our art and thanks to the curator @oseibonsu_ who did a wonderful job putting this all together and giving the art a wonderful platform and presentation, massive congratulations to all the artists and collectors and galleries involved and all who worked behind the scenes to make this special. On a personal note it’s always wonderful to be surrounded by our incredible art and of course to see my late uncle @ben_enwonwu work 32 years post his passing still very much at the heart of this exhibition and he is the legend perhaps the most important artist from Africa of his generation. I had to take a picture in front of the mural of one of his pieces which was also the cover for the official book. As always great to accompany @honhannatumusawa on official duties with @babaagba_ , and team. What an exhibition indeed. @babesabouttown @bananaleafangel @chrisubosi @tolaodunsi @azubogu @art_tafeta @chumaanagbado @eyesofalagosboy @yetsasika @ncac_nigeria @fmactce_nigeria @moriajaga @apostleobiipaxharry #nigerianmodernism #africanart #benenwonwu

Lagos, the city that never sleeps. It was a pleasure to accompany the Honorable Minister @honhannatumusawa to this year’s edition of @afriff and the first edition of its Market. Cinema holds a special place in society and it’s great to have so many friends and colleagues visiting Lagos this week and look forward to receiving and hosting many more as we lead into Detty December. A Landmark Moment for Nigeria’s Film Industry. Nigeria’s dynamic film industry has captured global attention with an extensive 5-minute feature on CNN’s Marketplace Africa, spotlighting our historic debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. For the first time ever, a Nigerian production, My Father’s Shadow, secured a place in the Cannes’ Official Selection, marking a monumental milestone not just for the filmmakers and cast, but for the entire Nigerian creative ecosystem. This spotlight complements efforts to position Nigeria as a premier global hub for film production. From nurturing local industries to forging vital international partnerships, we are committed to building a thriving, export-ready creative sector that tells our authentic stories to the world. Seeing Nigeria’s filmmakers, industry leaders, and ministry representatives take centre stage on CNN underscores the growing impact of our creative industries on the world stage, advancing cultural diplomacy, driving economic growth, and inspiring a new generation of creators. 📌Watch the full CNN feature and join us as we continue to elevate Nigeria’s rich cultural narratives and creative excellence to global audiences. As a young media strategist privileged to serve in this transformative era, it’s inspiring to see our cultural expressions gaining the global spotlight they deserve. Beyond the glamour of Cannes and CNN, what truly excites me is the proof that young Nigerians have a real place in reshaping national narratives. This is more than a feature, it’s a firm step towards a future where creativity drives policy, prosperity, and pride. #FMACTCE #NigeriaAtCannes #sandranjokusamuel #CreativeNigeria #Nollywood #CulturalDiplomacy #MarketplaceAfrica #ProudlyNigerian #CNN #ArtsAndCulture #drachimedia #drachibrand #sandranjokusamuelmediastrategist
