Today 22 April 2026 is Stephen Lawrence Day.
It is now 33 years since Stephen was stabbed to death in a racist unprovoked attack in Eltham, South London.
Today we remember Stephen and his family for their fight for justice.
His legacy lives on through the work of the Stephen Lawrence foundation, supporting young people fulfil their dreams.

On this blessed Easter Sunday, I am reflecting on the recent Easter Reception at No 10 where I had the opportunity to introduce the Prime Minister.
After the beautiful prayer from @revchris7 , it was a privilege to quote the bible and highlight the Easter message of victory over death, forgiveness of sins, the promise of eternal life and hope.
At a time when there is so much going on in the world, it can be hard to have hope, but we must remind ourselves that God is present in any struggle with us and we can find hope even in the hardest of places.
Christ has risen and this is a powerful reminder of the promise of renewal and new beginnings, even in the most dark days.
