Savant Flaneur’s Psst! was an interactive sound, poetry, sculpture and video installation for Nuit Blanche Winnipeg last year. Now available to stream and dubbed to cassette tape in four parts.
Collectively constructed sound artwork built of secrets. Psst! bridges the quiet interiority of private space with the shared experience of public expression. It provides an opportunity for public vulnerability, an agnostic form of confession, encouraging the profound sense of sonder—the realization that every person leads a life as real and complex as one’s own.
As each secret dissolves into a communal sea of inter-connected voices and experiences, the work invites participants to enter a space of mutual recognition. In that space, speech becomes an act of surrealist illumination, bringing hidden thoughts to dim but constant light. Vulnerability becomes an act of generosity contributing to the complete experience of the artwork. Audience members consider how these whispers are stories that connect us.

What would you do if the sun did not rise for a day? In 1982 in the Red River Valley of Manitoba, a crowd comes together for the unveiling of a statue, not knowing that a day of total darkness is upon them. Shot on 16mm film using broken Bolex cameras, Levers creates an intimate, dreamlike atmosphere with entrancing sounds, beautiful visuals, and an unsettling storyline that mixes fantasy and reality.

Jiibay-Miikana (pronounced jee-bye-me-kana) is a journey on the celestial highway from earth to the spirit world.
This aural journey is split into three pieces: leaving, arrival, and departure. Jiibay-Miikana is the Ojibwe name for the Milky Way meaning “Spirit Path” or “River of Souls”. The sounds in these pieces range from stygian drone/dark ambient music from the blackest depths of the cosmos.. To peaceful, calming cosmic dungeon synth/ambient. These tracks have been released on cassette under the name ‘Isputinaw’ and released on Manitoba indigenous black metal collective/label, @manidoogathering
