Slide film (and a 110 shot at the end) of my road trip through Phoenix to Sedona, to Page, Kayenta, Monument Valley, and the Navajo Nation. It’s one of the most beautiful drives I’ve ever been through, especially that drive from Phoenix to Gray Mountain. The best part though, as trite as it sounds, were the people I travelled with and met throughout.

I am so grateful to have so many friends and family show their support at the Houston Filmmaker Showcase last week! Thank you to @cinemasocietyhtx and @swampfilm for selecting my film for the showcase, and everyone showing up to a sold-out theater meant so much to me.
Many people couldn’t make it or had to leave early, but even then the support and presence is still felt regardless. My only regret is that I wish I had more time to spend with everyone before heading back to LA the next day.

Two crowds in DTLA: Dodgers fans celebrating the World Series win at the city parade, and protestors calling for the end of Trump’s tariffs and attacks on democracy, equal rights, and minorities. Different moods, but the same city.
I thought of “Luck of the Draw” with these, as the song is upbeat while questioning why things are the way they are.

Photos of Houston shot on digital and 35mm from my trip back in October. I would drive around and let myself stop for any interesting views I saw, which was a lot of fun. Some of my favorite places, like the graffiti warehouse near George R. Brown, isn’t around anymore, which is saddening, but there’s still a lot of character to be found all over.
