❤️ @lavoltapizza ❤️ Hey La Volta 👋 I finally tried your chicken Ceasar salad wrap 💅 Their space is 900 W. 10th 📍 has a long pizza history - being a former favorite of mine, 40° North for several years. They had great pizza, great burgers, and a sleeper of a chicken sandwich 🫡 After they shut down, Sammataro stepped in and eventually stepped out Now LV is there bringing some cool / energetic vibes, crushin pasta and pies, and pushing things with fun additions like this spicy chicken Ceasar salad wrap It’s a fantastic summer lunch and prob my favorite way to eat a salad 😂 I’ll be out all weekend with some friends visiting for my 40th - so we should have plenty of content to get us through the weekend 🙌 Hitting @mercadosinnombre and @paprikaatx tomorrow to start the weekend and then off to Lockhart thanks to @360transportationatx and their party bus 🚌 Shout out @morganmercantile & @lonestarbeer for the incredible hat and @bustysbarandjukebox for one of my favorite shirts 👕 See yall outside this weekend 🤝

🔥 @diablohotchicken 🔥 Austin’s FIRST MX FRIED CHICKEN 🐓 as you may or may not know, a lot of people call me the POLLO PRINCE 👑 I love me a yard bird - and I love MX food, so this concept is a match made in THICCBOY heaven 👼🏽 Diablo is using brioche buns made fresh by @veracruzfonda and they’re fantastic, a little sweet to balance out that heat - perfect compliment for the chicken that’s deep fried and dusted with house made dried pepper rubs 😋 As you saw, I added a Midwest twist and got mine with a little cheddar - and to be quite frank, I think you should too 💅 grab some fries with a side of SALSA MACHA KETCHUP too 👀 ttyl yall 🤝

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY ❤️ I would not be where I am today without the unwavering support and love from my mom - despite basically 3 decades of super mediocre life choices 😂 my mom believed in me and was nothing but positive And it’s not like I’m a giant success today - but I’m independent and intelligent and a generally nice & polite fella (as often as I can be) 🫡 I’m very lucky to have such a supportive mother. Thank you to my mom and all moms out there - you have a giant impact on the people in your life, keep up the good work ❤️

🔥 @deep.end.atx 🔥 This sub shop is set up at 6401 Airport Blvd 📍 They have fantastic neighbors in @kyoko.coffee & @dduk_dduk_co ❤️ In this video I had to try their chopped cheese - I loved it, not sure there’s a bad version of beef and melty cheese 😂 and their Pizza Sub - tons of pepperoni, the fresh basil really balanced things - I love a good marinara and certainly wouldn’t have been upset if a ramekin of marinara came w that bad boy 👀 regardless, both were hearty and exceeded expectations 🫡 End of this little clip shows some panko breaded, deep fried, mini corn dogs from @dduk_dduk_co - fire 😋 See yall around ❤️

🚨 BREAKING BAKERY NEWS 🚨 About 69 minutes ago (nice) @cicciobombaatx officially opened their flagship location at 1100 S Lamar 📍 They were welcomed to the neighborhood by a large group of hungry South Austinites 🫶 This is their first location that isn’t downtown - it’s absolutely gorgeous - it’s thoughtfully designed - it’s got a full bar and will be open until 7pm - they have indoor & outdoor dining AND they offer “grab & go” or “dine in” 🤟 This is their biggest location and their first time offering “dine in” - given they’ve been open for all of (what is now) 72 minutes - I’d come in with a little patience for their team as they tackle all of their new adventures. @seguratom & @chefgianbavinzoni have done an excellent job with this space and every time I try a new dish here, my expectations are exceeded. It’s fun learning all of the Italian lingo after spending so much time figuring out what these Mexican dishes around me are 😂 Hope yall have a great Sunday, ttyl 🫡

@swiftsattic ✨ As you likely saw on @calebcomplains & @ciaracera page earlier this week - Swift’s Attic has been around for 14 years in a HISTORIC building downtown Austin 📍 I’ve been lucky enough to chat with @seekaychin a few times and learn a little bit about what Swift’s Attic use to be, what it wants to be, and the unique struggles of being a downtown restaurant that’s not SUPER HIGH END - but also not a quick counter service spot Chef @nayeloo_o brings a lot of fresh skill to the restaurant and a few dishes really stood out like that crudo and the brocolli in a salsa macha. Easy to eat, not heavy, plenty to share, and approachable prices. I’m a fan of the people, the space, and the food and I hope this post sparks some curiosity for you and we support them enough to stay around another 14 years ❤️ Have a great Friday, friends 🤝 315 Congress Ave 📍 4.5 ⭐️ on over 1400 reviews

🔥 FIRE IN THE HOLE 🔥 I Can’t Believe It Took Me 9 Years in Austin to Finally Try This Shot… @ranch616 has been around since 1998, and somehow I’d never done their legendary Fire in the Hole 🙃 a @titosvodka shot served inside a jalapeño. Nine years in Austin and I’m just now crossing this one off the list - better late than never. Ranch 616 is also part of Ranch Water history, with many crediting the spot as one of the early homes of the now-iconic Texas cocktail 🌵 What stood out most was that the food still delivers. The ceviche tostada was the star of the table. Fresh, bright, balanced, and something I’d absolutely order again. We also had the Frito pie and ranch queso, both built for sharing with drinks. Awesome character, strong drinks, a little chaos, and still drawing crowds after all these years 🫡 ⭐ 3.7 Yelp rating with 600+ reviews ⭐ Well-known longtime Austin favorite 📍616 Nueces St 🕚 Mon–Thu: 11–2 / 5–9 🕚 Fri–Sat: 11–10 🕚 Sun: 11–9 🌶️ Fire in the Hole is an Austin bucket list move 🍹 OG Austin spot off West 6th

👀 DOES @wendys STILL SUCK? 👀 Well, if you’re a chicken sandwich fan - I’m glad to report that the answer is NO 🤝 However, if you’re a fan of the JBC that was .99 • their famous taco salad • or water that isn’t $3 — you may still think they suck 🥺 IF - HOWEVER - one of your first spicy chicken sandwich loves was Wendy’s…if you’re about 40 and remember that Yellow Wendy’s era…the REAL chicken, the real spice, the quality bun…boy do I have news for you 😮‍💨 SHES BACK BABY & don’t forget to add American cheese because this country may not be perfect but the melty goodness that is AC is as close to perfection as we’re gonna get on any sandwich sold in these United States 🧀 *before someone comes at me with “fast food sucks, support local”* I mostly agree with you - and I support local quite often 😂 and if yall wanna support local while eating some pretty great pollo…here are my recs: • @cockti_jfc_@danghot89@spicyboyschicken@goldentigeratx@thecavalieratx@diablohotchicken@korikori.chicken Thanks yall - Happy Monday 🫶
