Last week my
@originssound mix got picked and it is a really special one. It was recorded when I warmed up room 1 at
@corsica.studios for their Palestine fundraiser after
@thisisgala this year. Little did I know it would be the last time I'd ever play there 😭
I have so much love for Corsica. The second ticket I ever bought on RA was to a Church party at the Colombian before I even moved to London. The third was to Corsica.
Then
@c__jennings and I went to our first ever Boiler Room (the Church showcase, there's a trend here) just as I'd moved to London, buzzing with excitement. You can see me dancing right behind
@chaosinthecbd_ , and somehow directly in front of
@manueldarquart , years before we actually met (slide 2) 😅
My first gig at Corsica was warming up for
@san_soda in 2018, on the behemoth of a rotary mixer they had - never having touched a rotary before in my life and clanging terribly as a result - but the crowd was super lovely. The promoter then asked me to go play another set in room 2 cause the night sold out so they spontaneously decided to open it.
Recently turned 29 mid set b2b w/ Manuel Darquart (awww full circle) and all of room 2 sang happy birthday to me on the dancefloor as I blew out the candle on my muffin 🥹

@floatingpoints b2b. I think about this party often. If I could turn back time to relive any gig I've ever been to, it would be this one.
London needs more small-to-mid sized clubs, and Corsica is perfect. A 2 room club where both rooms were actually part of the same party. Corsica is unique in that it was open to small promoters just starting out and you could be booked as a baby DJ, but also see huge superstar DJs play. It really allowed promoters and DJs to grow within their space.
I've somehow played 8 gigs there over the years (if I counted right) and actually got a bit emotional looking through the photos/videos. It's truly shaped me as a raver and a DJ. My favourite club ❤️
