Yeah @jrwardauthor it’s not like I came to Apollycon to follow you around all day that’d be weird right haha hahaha 😅🙃 While I promise I am not ACTUALLY lurking behind all of my favorite authors at cons, author interactions are absolutely some of my favorite @apollycon memories—especially getting to chat and make videos with THE QUEEN HERSELF! I’ve been so inspired by J.R. Ward’s humor, kindness, energy, and words of no bullsh*t wisdom since I heard her speak last year, and getting to come back this year having read and loved her books too was such a dream. I put things off when I don’t feel like I have the proper words to describe my feelings or the experience— but I cannot put this post off any longer before it becomes completely irrelevant 😂 (if we have not hit that point already) I still don’t have the perfect words to explain what this experience, and the weekend that wrapped it up, mean to me. But here’s a little @apollycon photo dump 📸 Truly I felt so unsatisfied with my photos because how do you capture the laughs you shared walking through the hallways? How do you capture the profound and deeply healing moments from words shared in panels? How do you capture feeling at home and safe with people you’ve spent the year getting to know over the internet? How do you capture the admiration you have for authors and small shops sharing their art with us? You cannot. I said I would behave this year…….. As I was stuffing my suitcase, carryon and personal item with books to take to @apollycon my husband literally looked at me and said “I thought you were a veteran now and we wouldn’t be doing this” 😂 ✨scoffs✨ what an amateur Listen in my defence there were so many new (to me) authors there this year so I had so many books to bring! I actually think I was pretty well behaved on the preorders. Where I really struggled to get it all home was the gifted books. Which I am so beyond grateful for. Honestly @berkleypub @avonbooks and @brambleromance spoiled me and I love them for it! ADITL At ApollyCon: Final Part ✨ Literally sobbing finishing this up. I’m still devastated it’s over after two weeks 😭😆 words cannot express how appreciative and honored I feel to have been a part of this year’s ApollyCon. Getting to meet other readers and authors in this capacity was an absolute dream come true. This video is probably the most accurate representation of my memories of Apollycon. It’s a blur. A whirlwind. A kaleidoscope of memories that I know I’ll cherish forever. When I say I had the time of my life I truly mean it. I got to see my mom enjoy it for the first time! I got to experience it with friends. And I was so fortunate to have experienced it as an influencer. The group I was a part of was extraordinary. It was such a joy to spend time with them and create content with them. I wish we could go back and do it all again! Bring it on 2027! They make my life, carrying things around and travel so much easier!
