New year, new schedule! 🥳 Most of you have probably heard about the disaster last year was for book events, especially for those who were lucky enough (?) to, like me, attend both A Million Lives Book Festival and Once Upon a Con 😬 It was a hard year, emotionally and financially, for many readers and writers alike, and just goes to show that sometimes, frustratingly, you have to be a little cynical. That being said, I met so many wonderful readers and other authors, added so many more pretty books to my shelves, and got out of the house—all very important activities for your resident indie author introvert. So I wasn’t about to give up on author events completely! Plus, I don’t know when I’ll ever be able to get my next book out, so maybe I can use being busy as an excuse if it takes a little longer than planned… 🤭 If you’ll be at any of these events in 2026, do say hi! I’m just as awkward in person, but at least I usually have chocolate and hand sanitizer at my table, so maybe that can convince you.
